About Me
Born and raised in the far east bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. Had a love for drama, film, performing arts, illustration and of course video games growing up. Got my first taste of the insanity of the video game industry at 18 and was hooked.
After the big industry restructuring of the early 2000’s I decided to give art and design a shot. So I went to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and earned my Bachelors. While there I concentrated solely on low-polygon modeling/texturing and real-time art asset creation. I find creating good looking art under the constraints of video game production exciting, challenging and rewarding. When finances turn back around, I’m contemplating returning part-time to slowly chip away at a second illustration-related degree.
On my off time I hit the flea markets looking to increase my ever growing classic video game library, work on restoring pinball and arcade machines in the garage, play in a weekly pinball league, drive an hour to San Jose on Fridays to play Street Fighter with tournament grade players, moderate the Street Fighter IV/Super Street Fighter IV boards on Shoryuken, sketch with my trusty ballpoint pen, smoke cigars, drink beers, pet my animals, lounge around and hang out with my wife Cathy.
As for why "DrunkenTemple". It was my way, a long long time ago, of paying homage to the old movies that played on kung fu theater in the bay area (KTSF). It sort of stuck with me ever since (I swear it isn't because I am a lush). If you were born in the late 70's or early 80's in the bay area, you know whats up...
